Quartersawn is owned and operated by craftsman Aaron Bougher, who has over a decade of experience designing and building furniture.

Aaron holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Hons) and began his career as a structural engineer, designing bridges. His engineering background has given him a strong understanding of materials and structure — qualities that continue to influence his approach to furniture making.

His passion for woodworking grew while designing and building his own home, a five-year project that involved more than 10,000 hours of work, including the furniture and cabinetry throughout. What began as a personal project developed into a career centered around furniture and craftsmanship.

Today, Aaron combines his engineering knowledge with traditional woodworking skills to create bespoke furniture, cabinetry and joinery,
