For this commission the clients had downsized to an apartment in Orakei and wanted to provide additional storage in the bedroom as part of a bedhead unit. The bedhead unit is constructed from American white oak veneered birch plywood and features a full height bookcase accessed from behind the unit, cantilevered shelves above and matching bedside tables. A cavity behind the upholstered bedhead provides space to run cables for lighting and power sockets.
