Three bookcases constructed entirely of solid reclaimed rimu make up this unit.

A beading detail has been used around the outer perimeter.

The shelf heights on the left and right unit match with the different shelf heights on the centre unit. This gives the unit symmetry while also providing a central focal point.

Custom made half splayed profile skirting and scotia have been used on the unit and also continued around the room. Both the bookcases and skirting have been finished in a dark hard-wax oil.
Built-In Rimu Bookcases

These solid rimu bookcases are built into an alcove and flank a fireplace.

Care was taken to match the shape of the stepped chimney.

There is a cabinet with a shaker door on the left and an open cabinet for firewood storage on the right.
Apartment Bookcase

This bookcase is constructed from prime grade pine and has a paint finish. It extends tight up to the ceiling and the skirting in the room has been continued around the base of the bookcase giving it a built-in look.
