American Black Walnut Footstools

These footstools are built from American black walnut with a hard-wax oil finish. In these photos they are yet to be upholstered.

The legs have been turned by hand on a lathe and feature a tapered profile with bead shaped foot detail.

The cross brace also has a tapered profile. It was turned on the lathe with final shaping at the junction completed with a chisel.

The final upholstery will have 70mm of foam with a skirting detail that hangs down to cover the apron.

These bar stools are built from reclaimed rimu and are part of a set of 4 that go with a woolpress bar leaner.
Totara and Kauri Bench Seat

This bench seat was built to go with the dining table I also constructed. The base is built from reclaimed totara and the top is reclaimed kauri with totara strips between the planks.
Outdoor Bench Seat

This outdoor bench seat is built from redwood and features oversized dovetail joints with the legs finished in a black stain.
